Web Summit is Europe's largest technology conference, taking over Lisbon each November across the Altice Arena and surrounding pavilions. It convenes the full tech ecosystem: Fortune 500s from Apple to Meta, startups that grew into unicorns after appearing on its stages — Revolut, Stripe and Cloudflare among them — global venture firms like Sequoia and a16z, world media and heads of state. Fintech and payments run deep in the programme, with players like Visa and Adyen represented alongside dedicated startup showcases, investor matchmaking, Women in Tech programming and the famous Night Summit. For fintech founders and operators, it is the broadest stage in Europe to meet capital, partners and press in a single week.
